In this Policy, we seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, use, share, store, and what rights you have in relation to it. We hope you take some time to read through it carefully, as it is important. If there are any terms in this Policy that you disagree with, please discontinue the use of our Sites and our services.

WHO DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM?

To properly operate our Services, WordMaxx may collect data from users and visitors of the Platform and Sites. We collect data from users and visitors of the Platform.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND WHY?

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect different types of information. This information can be collected automatically when you interact with our Services, provided directly by you, or obtained from service providers and third parties.

Automatically Collected

When you visit, use, or navigate the Platform and Site, we automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address and/or browser and device characteristics. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information). Still, it may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is used to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes, and may be shared with third parties as described below in “Will your information be shared with anyone?”

Information Provided by You

WordMaxx does not offer accounts, social sign-in, subscriptions, payments, forums, or chat. You submit words to the server for validation and scoring. Game progress, drafts, first and best scores, and sound preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage. On completion, the server records the puzzle identifier and date, a hashed anonymous browser identifier, total score, and completion time to provide score comparisons. Submitted words are checked by the server but are not stored in the score database.

INFORMATION SHARED WITH THIRD PARTIES?

We share personal information with your consent where required, and otherwise as permitted by applicable law, including to provide services, comply with legal obligations, protect rights, and support site hosting and analytics. We may disclose your information for the following reasons:

Business or Commercial Purposes

WordMaxx uses information to operate the daily game, validate submissions, save progress, compare scores, maintain the service, and understand site usage.

Internal Operations and Functions. We use technical and usage information to investigate errors, prevent misuse, maintain the service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Service Development and Maintenance. We use game and technical information to maintain and improve the game and its score comparison features.

Sharing of Personal Information with Third Parties. Service providers may process information to host the Site and analyze usage. Google Analytics processes browser, device, and usage information as described below. WordMaxx does not display advertisements or offer advertising personalization controls.

Use of Tracking Technologies and Cookies

For information about cookies and your options, see our Cookie Policy. This policy provides detailed information on the types of tracking technologies we use, how they work, your options to control or decline certain cookies, and the impact of disabling specific cookies on your experience.
